American Board of Radiology (ABR) Diplomates since 2006 must participate in the 10 year cycle of Maintenance of Certification or MOC, which consists of Professional Standing, Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment, Cognitive Experience, and Assessment of Performance in Practice (PQI).
Professional Standing: Maintaining active, current, unrestricted licenses.
Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment: CME Totalling 250 hours over 10 years, including Self Assessment Modules (or SAMs).
Cognitive Expertise: An exam administered by theABR.
Assessment of Performance in Practice (PQI): 5 categories have been defined for diagnostic radiology: patient safety, report timliness, accuracy of interpretation, physician surveys, practice guidelines and technical standards.
The purpose of this blog is to collect and evauate data with regard to the radiology practice of Dr. Matthew Penn Chanin.
